Sevilla formalizes the signing of Isco for the next two seasons

Sevilla made official this Monday the signing of Francisco Alarcón ‘Isco’, after passing the pertinent medical examination and stamping the signatures on the new contract that links the Malaga-born player to the Seville entity for at least the next two seasons, according to a release.

Isco Alarcón is now officially a Sevilla FC player for this season and the next. After announcing yesterday a principle of agreement with the player, at noon this Monday the player from Arroyo de la Miel has stamped his signature on the contract that binds him to the red and white entity, after overcoming the perceptive medical examination”, announced Sevilla.

In addition, the club announced that Isco will be presented this Wednesday at 9:00 p.m., in an open-door event at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium, in the Preference zone. The player’s press conference will be half an hour before, at 8:30 p.m. The new Sevilla footballer is therefore now under the discipline of Julen Lopetegui and his coaching staff, waiting to meet his new teammates in the first training session he performs with the group.

The 30-year-old from Malaga becomes the third summer signing for the Sevilla team, after he was released on June 30 when his contract as a Real Madrid player expired, after nine years wearing the white shirt.


Isco made his debut in the 2010-11 campaign with Valencia, a club he arrived at when he was only 14 years old, before leaving that same summer for Malaga, where he became one of the references of a team that qualified for the Champions League .

His talent caught the attention of Real Madrid in 2013, and it was there that he achieved his greatest successes as a footballer. In his nine years dressed in white, he lifted three Leagues, five Champions Leagues, three European Super Cups, four Club World Cups, one Copa del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups.

As an international, he has made 38 appearances and 12 goals with the senior team, with which he won Euro 2012 and made his debut on February 6, 2013 in a friendly against Uruguay in Qatar under the guidance of Vicente del Bosque.
