Santander League | Soldier condemns Rubi

Rubi is practically sentenced on the Betis bench. The Catalan coach had risen in extremis, for the umpteenth time this season, when his team managed to come back by a disputed penalty to Borja that converted Canales and a far kick from Tello that sneaked in while everyone watched. But Soldier, one of those veteran matadors who don't understand romanticism still had something to say. The front hooked in the discount and after a corner a volley for the 2-2 final, result of which the (last night) coach of Betis will hardly recover. The Green and White Council debated his dismissal last night.

Rubi completely renovated her eleven, with up to seven changes with respect to the one that had jumped from the field to Sánchez Pizjuán. But the verdiblanco team hardly improved its version. It was Granada, which also had some new faces, that had already created the first two clear occasions before Carlos Fernández, in a manual counter that Azeez launched and in which Puertas focused, made the 0-1 (29 ') when the duel was about to arrive in half an hour. The striker on loan from Sevilla has started this return from LaLiga very thin, with three goals in two games, and, things from the cainismo on the banks of the Guadalquivir, surely scoring at Villamarín gives another important boost to his return to Nervión for the next season.

Left heeled and ubiquitous in most Betic approaches, it had been Joaquín who lost that ball from 0-1 and the portuense tried to redeem himself with a wonderful slalom that almost reached Loren's free kick. Joaquín and Loren themselves tried it from afar but the one who was closest to the goal was Fekir, who had disappeared until then, with a thread that Rui Silva saved by a changed hand, with a magnificent flight that allowed him to reach the squad. The Portuguese goalkeeper is one of those that Betis has on his agenda for next season, by the way.

Granada speculated during practically the entire second half. Without getting close to Joel but also almost without suffering until he met the two Betis goals when the end was reached. But there was one bullet left, that of the Valencian Gudari. An unrepentant scorer who saved the record of his own coach, Diego Martínez, who has not been traced, not this time, a game in 77 that arrives as a Granada player. And that surely the opposite coach was charged.
