Ganna sweeps the last time trial and Pogacar remains in pink

MADRID, 18 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Italian cyclist Filippo Ganna (INEOS Grenadiers) has conquered the fourteenth stage of the 107th edition of the Giro d’Italia, a 31.2 kilometer individual time trial between Castiglione delle Stiviere and Desenzano del Garda, while the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates) , second this Saturday, remains the leader of the general classification.

The transalpine, the great specialist against the time of the ‘corsa rosa’, responded to his favoritism and completed the course, flat with small undulations, in a time of 35:02, 29 seconds ahead of the two-time Tour champion.

Even so, Pogacar has increased his lead in the general classification, which is now 3:41 over the British Geraint Thomas (INEOS Grenadiers), fourth this Saturday 1:14 behind the winner, and 3:56 over the Colombian Daniel Martínez (BORA-hansgrohe).
