Kate Middleton’s sparkling tribute to Elizabeth II at Westminster: wearing the queen’s pearls

The queen consort, Camilla, has arrived at Westminster Abbey after 11:30 in the morning (local time). It has been Kate, due to her status as Princess of Wales and first in the line of succession and future queen consort, who has been in charge of accompanying her. Guillermo’s wife has paid a personal tribute to the queen wearing one of her jewels.

These are Bahrain pearl earrings and a four-strand choker necklace, also in pearls, with a diamond clasp. Both pieces belong to the sovereign’s personal collection, according to People. Elizabeth wore this jewelry in Bangladesh in 1983. The earrings were a gift from her for her wedding in 1947.

With a black hat and a black coat, Kate has entered the abbey and has been very aware of her two eldest children, George and Charlotte. The little one, Louis, has not attended. When the Princess of Wales, her children and Camilla have arrived, the rest of the queen’s grandchildren were already inside her.

Kate has taken her seat next to William, number one in the line of succession. The dukes of Wales have been placed on the same bench as the king and the consort. Behind them were the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
