Goalkeeper Diego Conde signs for Villarreal until 2029

MADRID, 2 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Goalkeeper Diego Conde has become a new Villarreal player this Tuesday, with whom he signs a contract until June 30, 2029 and who arrives on loan from CD Leganés, the club with which he achieved promotion to LaLiga EA Sports last season, according to the yellow club’s website.

The 25-year-old Madrid goalkeeper defended the CD Leganés goal last season, the club with which he achieved promotion to LaLiga EA Sports 2024-25, being the goalkeeper who conceded the fewest goals and therefore the winner of the Zamora Trophy of LaLiga Hypermotion 2023-24, after conceding only 26 goals in the 40 games he defended the pepineras goal.

Conde is a goalkeeper of great stature who “dominates aerial play and has great reflexes between the posts,” according to the ‘Yellow Submarine’. Thus, and after the departure of Pepe Reina, Villarreal has secured a goalkeeper “of present and future with experience in professional football.”

Trained in the Atlético de Madrid youth academy, Diego Conde also played for CD Navalcarnero and Getafe CF, being an international in the lower categories of the Spanish national team.
