A PSG fan stabbed in Milan before a Champions League match

A Paris Saint-Germain fan was stabbed and seriously injured on Monday night in Milan (Italy), in the context of the match that this Tuesday will pit the Parisian team against AC Milan during matchday 4 of the Champions League. within Group F.

The 34-year-old man was attacked by a group of Milan fans and suffered several stab wounds, according to Italian media, citing local police. The man was taken to hospital after the incident and his condition was stable at the time of the incident.

Before the attack, there had been a struggle between radical PSG and Milan fans. Images and videos posted on social media showed several people dressed in black attacking each other.

“Milan condemns all forms of violence: football for us is passion, not hate. Sport is supposed to unite, not divide,” said the ‘Rossonera’ entity from its account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

It is the second time in a short time that a visiting fan has been attacked in Milan. Last September, a Newcastle United fan was also stabbed before another Champions League match between the teams.
