Genoveva Casanova denies having a “romantic relationship” with Federico of Denmark and puts the information in “the hands of her lawyers”

The Madrid ‘meet’ between Cayetano Martínez de Irujo’s ex and the crown prince has sparked all kinds of comments about the relationship that unites them and which, until now, was unknown. While Frederick of Denmark accompanies Kings Felipe VI and Letizia on their state visit to Copenhagen, Genoveva Casanova has given the first explanations through her friend Ana Rosa Quintana: “I have spoken with her and she told me that she has had a relationship with Federico for years and that there is a friendship between them.”

The presenter has assured that the Mexican “it’s completely overwhelmed” after that getaway shared with the Danish prince, Mary Donaldson’s husband, came to light, and that he has put all the information “in the hands of their lawyers to take the appropriate measures.”

“He hasn’t told me what he was doing here, for a culinary or cultural visit, but “She flatly denies that there is a romantic relationship between her and the heir to the throne of Denmark.”, added Ana Rosa. And the journalist points out: “The one that has fallen on Genoveva is… Because of course, this information is not going to stay in Spain, it is going to cross borders.” And Sardá pointed out: “Mary Donaldson’s is a big deal.”

Official announcement

Minutes after these first explanations, Genoveva sent a blunt statement to the media: “I flatly deny the statements that suggest a romantic relationship between Prince Federico and me,” the text begins.

And he completes: “Any statement of this type not only completely lacks the truth but also misrepresents the facts in a malicious manner. This is already in the hands of my lawyers, who will take care of the pertinent steps to protect my right to honor, truth and intimacy”.

The friendship between Genoveva and Federico

The news came to light this Tuesday and was announced by the magazine Readings, which has shown the first images: Genoveva and Federico from Denmark, together in Madrid twelve days ago. The Mexican herself has explained in the magazine Hola that it was a private trip “organized among university friends.” The plan was to visit museums, enjoy flamenco and our gastronomy, and he assures that another friend was in charge of accompanying Federico on the tour, but he fell ill with Covid and asked Genoveva to replace him.
