Trial by fire in Tokyo for Asensio, Ceballos, Vallejo and Kubo

The Real Madrid will have the presence of four players in the Games Olympics. The first to be summoned was Kubo with Japan and in the call for Spain they joined Ceballos, Asensio Y Vallejo. All of them will miss, therefore, the preseason of the white team, a disadvantage compared to their teammates. They can only catch up if they manage to make a big tournament in Tokyo. His job will be to show off to Ancelotti 11,000 kilometers away.

Marco Asensio (25 years old)

The Spaniard seems to have a guaranteed place in the white team next year. The exit rumors have ceased in recent weeks and now it will be up to him to be a starter or remain a substitute for the rest of the attackers. What's more, Rodrygo, one of his rivals for the position, has not been able to attend the Olympic event because Madrid has prevented him, so he would start with an advantage at the beginning of the season. Marco has everything to succeed in the Games: will be one of the leaders of the team led by Jorge de la Fuente. However, as such, the requirement will be total.

Dani Ceballos (24 years old)

Ceballos has ended his loan in the Arsenal, but his return to Madrid will be expected as he must first fight for the gold medal at the Games. His future is currently unknown, and he is awaiting a talk with Carletto with which to clarify his situation. He has it clear: stay in Madrid or a sale. He does not want any more loans. Whatever happens, his options to continue in white or to find a good destination next year are to show off a shirt, the one from Spain, with which he usually plays at his best.

Jseús Vallejo (24 years old)

The center-back, whose progression seemed to halt in its tracks a couple of seasons ago, has relaunched his career at the grenade being fundamental for Diego Martinez. This has earned him a position in the call and, perhaps also, to join the first team of Madrid next year. The board trusts him a lot (they renewed him until 2025 two years ago) and, given the economic difficulty that the club is going through due to the pandemic, signings are complicated, so Vallejo is postulated as the fourth in the rotation of centrals from behind from Nacho, Militao Y Varane, with the latter waiting to define his future. Everything indicates that he will be one of the captains in Tokyo, a great opportunity to show off before returning.

Take Kubo (20 years)

The Japanese has been training all summer to get ready for the Olympics, the most special tournament in his short career. As host, Japan awakens the illusion of both locals and many football fans, and Kubo is the soccer leader they lean on. Former player of FC Tokyo their future is also at stake. Although the option of a new loan is considered more strongly at the club, he continues to dream of being able to make a niche and knows that, for this, he must do something great at the Games.
