Spain regains the European throne

MADRID, 18 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish basketball team won (88-76) this Sunday against France in the Eurobasket final to win gold and achieve its fourth European title, after a very complete game in which Sergio Scariolo’s men overwhelmed the French in a great start, and then defend your mattress until the end.

Juancho Hernángomez was the highlight of the national team with 27 points, along with Lorenzo Brown – record for assists in a Eurobasket final with 11 -, who finished with a ‘double-double’ (13 points and 11 assists). Both led a team that once again showed the character and group commitment that characterizes it, at the height of a match that they did not reach as favorites, breaking all forecasts. Before the break, they managed to enjoy a 21-point lead over the French, unable to keep up with the pace set by Scariolo’s men.
