Real Madrid and Sevilla, first quarter-finalists of the Copa de la Reina

Real Madrid and Sevilla became this Tuesday the first two teams to qualify for the quarterfinals of the 2021-2022 Copa de la Reina after beating Alhama CF (0-3) and Athletic Club (0-3) at home. 1), respectively.

The Madrid team complied with the forecasts and got rid of the Murcian team, leader of the South Group of the Iberdrola Challenge and who maintained their options until the final stages in which the visitors sentenced a victory that opened the German Babett Peter after half an hour.

The locals had their options against the goal defended by Gérard and the shortness of the scoreboard allowed him to dream of at least extra time at all times. For its part, Sevilla surprised Athletic Club in Lezama and took the ticket to the quarterfinals after winning 0-1, demonstrating its good harmony with a knockout tournament in which it has been a semifinalist in 2019 and 2020.

An early goal from Débora García after five minutes was enough for the Sevilla team to get into the top eight in the Cup against a rival who pressed especially in the second half, but did not find the goal.
