A penalty transformed by the Argentine Nicolás González avoided the first victory of the season for Schalke and gave a point to Stuttgart (1-1), in an early game of the sixth day of the Bundesliga led by Leipzig.
González's goal frustrated to the set of Manuel Baum, penultimate in the table and that he has only added two draws so far this season.
Schalke took advantage at half an hour thanks to a lateral free kick by Moroccan Amine Harit that Finn Malick Thiaw finished headlong.
González's entry into the party was providential. As a starting substitute, North American coach Pellegrino Matarazzo chose to turn to the Argentine at halftime. He replaced the Austrian Sasa Kalajdzic.
In minute 56, a hand inside the area of the Senegalese Salif Sané was sanctioned with a penalty. It was executed by Nicolás González, who achieved the tie and gave his team a point.
Stuttgart remains at the top of the table, in fourth place, three behind Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich and four behind leaders Leipzig.
