Michigan’s goal is to take down the whole country. At the Rose Bowl, Boise State edged Alabama 27–20 on a 17-yard carry from defensive back Blake Corum to extra time.
It has been three years in a row that Michigan has made it to the College Football Playoff. This is their first win after that. They want to win the national title for the first time since 1997.
In extra time, Michigan got the puck back, and Corum scored on the second play. Michigan had the ball first. Alabama could have scored, but they couldn’t.
On fourth down, Michigan’s defence held strong, and quarterback Jalen Milroe was hit on a quarterback play. This got the Crimson Tide inside the 10 yard line.
Michigan beat Alabama 27–20 to the Rose Bowl on Monday in Pasadena, California. Blake Corum scored a touchdown from 17 metres out on the second act of overtime, which was the first play of overtime.
The Michigan football team will now play its first college football playoff championship meeting.

This was only the second extra game in the Rose Bowl’s 110-year history.This is Michigan’s 14th straight perfect season.
On January 8 to Houston, they will play either Washington as well Texas for the national championship, which would be the school’s first since 1997.
But they can’t do that until they make an exciting late comeback during the Big One. In the last minute and a half, Roman Wilson caught an interception from 4 yards out to win the game for Michigan.

It was scored on the second possession of overtime after Blake Corum went for 17 yards. In the 110-year era of what is known as the Rose Bowl, this was the first day of play off.
The game finished when Alabama QB Jalen Milroe collapsed trying to move up the middle on the fourth play against the Michigan 3.
Because Nick Saban builds his teams to be strong, Alabama’s teams have been the best with college sports for nearly the last fifteen seasons.
But the Tide’s season was over after a 14-0 loss to Michigan. They needed to narrowly stay alive versus making things happen.
With 1:34 left in the game, Roman Wilson scored a touchdown pass via 4 yards out for the Wolverines. Up until J.J. McCarthy directed a tough 75-yard run that finished in a score, they were without a score in the half.
McCarthy was Michigan’s Offensive Player of the Game because he tossed for 221 yards and three touchdowns. After 11 straight wins, the Tide lost. Milroe threw for 116 metres and dashed for 63.
Alabama (12-2) played well, but they missed their chance to contend for Nick Saban’s 7th national title at the school. They raced for 87 yards or scored two times.
Will Reichard made a 52-yard attempt at 4:41, giving the Tide the 20–13 lead. Their defence couldn’t keep the lead, though.
Hurd wants Michigan to reach the main goal he set when he returned to his college days in 2015 after an amazing coaching run with the 49ers. They need one more win.
The quarterback who starred for the Wolverines in the past was set on restoring his school to national prominence and power.
But in his first six-year run, he didn’t win one Big Ten title. Fans were mad because they anticipated things would move faster.
Ohio State has had the best team in the country since 2021. They’ve been to the playoffs multiple times and won their last three conference games.
For the second full regular season, the Michigan State Wolverines went perfect. Now they’ve reached the top level of their sport.
