LaLiga receives the elected president of the Republic of Ecuador

The president of the Republic of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa Azín, held a meeting with the president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, this Friday at the headquarters of the Spanish football association, with the aim of signing a memorandum of understanding, which establishes the bases for a future agreement.

“The agreement will promote inter-institutional cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Ecuador, LALIGA and LigaProen in order to collaborate with the purpose of strengthening the development of football and professional sports in the territory of the Republic of Ecuador, as well as working on programs of social development and other joint initiatives that foster cooperation and benefit the three institutions and the football and social community in their respective territories,” LaLiga says in a statement.

Noboa Azín, recently elected president of Ecuador, wanted to highlight “the value of these projects for children who do not understand different social realities and unify childhood.” “The impact that this has on the parents, relatives and younger siblings of the children who participate is very positive and is something that generates a relevant impact to reduce the crime rates that concern us so much today. Initiatives like this will be the basis of what we want to change as a Government,” he stated.

The Ecuadorian president-elect has shown a special interest in learning about the agreement that the LaLiga Foundation has with the Government of the Republic of El Salvador for the development of socio-educational spaces, specifically, for the creation of 262 socio-sports schools spread throughout the country, with the objective of promoting inclusion, participation, entrepreneurship, job placement and the prevention of violence in children and youth through education in values ​​and sports practice.

“The importance of collaborating with the institutions and governments of the countries in which LALIGA is present, in order to be an active part of projects and initiatives that, based on sporting values, develop and improve these societies,” said Tebas.

“In this way, through the agreement, both institutions will commit to promoting the exchange of knowledge and good practices in professional football, to promote social responsibility projects related to football and to collaborate in the development of a socio-sports program that encourages boys, girls, adolescents and young people, actions in favor of inclusion, participation, quality education, gender equality, entrepreneurship and the eradication of violence through sport,” says LaLiga after the meeting.

The president of the Ecuadorian professional league, Miguel Ángel Loor, also participated and Noboa Azín took advantage of his visit to learn more about the special collaborative relationship that exists between LALIGA and LigaPro. “LigaPro is delighted with the relationships created for years with LALIGA.
