Kepa makes his dream come true in the Champions League

Kepa Arrizabalaga was proclaimed champion of the Champions League yesterday with Chelsea. The Biscayan goalkeeper did not have minutes because, as has been happening for a few months now, he was Mendy's substitute. The way he celebrated the title of the ondarrutarra goal at grass level has earned him the respect of the blue fans.

“A dream como true” (A dream come true) was the brief and significant message Kepa on his twitter account. It has not been an easy season for the former Athletic goalkeeper. Lampard ended up relegating him to the substitution after the signing of Mendy in the middle of the season and Tuchel, who replaced the legendary former Chelsea player on the bench, bet from the beginning on the continuity of the French goalkeeper with Senegalese nationality.

Luis Enrique, lacking minutes, has also not included Kepa in the list of summoned for Euro 2021, although in specific phases he came to act as a starter. The ondarrutarra arrived at Chelsea from Athletic in August 2018 after payment of the 80 million euros of his clause.
