El Mensajero and Xerez Deportivo sign a goalless draw (0-0)

El Mensajero and Xerez Deportivo tied at zero in the match held this Sunday at Silvestre Carrillo. The Messenger arrived with the intention of returning to the path of victory after losing the last game against Vélez by a score of 3-0 and with a streak of three consecutive defeats in the competition. For its part, Xerez Deportivo had beaten San Fernando 1-0 in their fiefdom in the last match played. After the match, the Santa Cruz team was in fifteenth position, while Xerez Deportivo, for its part, is thirteenth at the end of the match.

During the first half of the duel none of the players managed to score, so during the first 45 minutes the scoreboard did not move from the initial 0-0.

In the second period both the Messenger and Xerez Deportivo were able to win the victory but finally, the points were distributed between both teams (0-0).

Both coaches moved the benches. The Messenger coach gave entry to Wilson Cuero, Cacho Guzmán and Mena for Ale, Josué Medina and Yeray, while Xerez Deportivo gave the green light to Jacobo, Pepe Sainz and Brando for Javilillo, Baeza and Rueda.

The referee sanctioned two players with a yellow card, one for the locals and one for the visitors. On the part of the locals the card went to Ale and on the part of the visitors to Álex Cruz.

After this tie at the end of the match, the Messenger was placed in fifteenth place in the table with 15 points, in relegation place to Third Division. For its part, Xerez Deportivo with this point got the thirteenth place with 18 points, occupying a place of possible participation in the next phase of the championship at the end of the match.

The team that played the game at home will meet Cádiz B on the following day, while Xerez Deportivo will play against Antequera.
