Diego López renews with Valencia until 2027

Valencia CF announced this Wednesday the renewal for one more season of Diego López’s contract, who remains linked to the ‘Che’ club until June 30, 2027, “very happy” with the personal and team turnaround with Rubén Baraja as coach.

“The Asturian footballer (05/13/2002) renewed with Valencia CF last summer until 2026 and today his extension has become effective upon meeting the contractual milestones subject to the number of games played,” said the club’s official statement.

After his emergence into the first team with a decisive contribution in the final stretch of the 2022-23 season, Diego López has established himself as an important footballer at the front of the attack under the command of Rubén Baraja.

López, 21, has played 31 games between LaLiga EA Sports and the Copa del Rey so far this season, scoring four goals and providing five assists. “I am very happy to extend, for one more year, the contract until 2027.
