Almería, provisional leader after beating Fuenlabrada

MADRID, 25 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Almería regained the leadership of the SmartBank League on a provisional basis after beating Fuenlabrada this Friday (3-1) and awaiting the match between Eibar and Burgos in Ipurua this Sunday, after a duel played at the stadium of the Mediterranean Games, which was tied until the 66th minute.

Rubi’s team reaches four consecutive victories and clears up any doubts after the irregularity thrown at the beginning of 2022. This Friday, Arnau opened the account for the rojiblancos after a good play by Sadiq after half an hour, but Bouldini equalized for the Madrid team as just five minutes later.

After the break, the Andalusian team had to mature their rival and it was not until after game time that Sadiq, this time assisted by Arnau, made it 2-1. The third and definitive one was signed by Dyego Sousa in the 77th minute. Almería did not slow down and put pressure on Eibar for the lead, while ‘Fuenla’ will continue in the relegation places for another week, four points behind the Salvation.
