A Porsche, a Rolex and several deeds: all the details of the registration of Luis Rubiales in the Dominican Republic

Eight days have passed since the search carried out by the UCO in the house of Luis Rubiales in the Dominican Republic and the first details are beginning to leak. The former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, accused of alleged irregularities in the organization’s contracts, moved there for work reasons at the end of 2023 and lived in a luxury villa with his friend Nené and another partner. At the doors of the house, the agents found two high-end cars: a Porsche Macan and a Jeep.

After the exhaustive search of both the interior of the home and the two vehicles, the UCO seized five cell phones, three flash drives, an iPad and a Rolex. Also the deeds of a company in the Dominican Republic and transfers worth $133,000 between the months of January and March. The summary also includes the search of Rubiales himself when he landed in Spain last week and states that the Civil Guard intercepted a document written on a computer in which the collaboration between the Saudi public company SELA and the RFEF was recorded and that the former president kept in the pocket of a jacket.

The one in the Dominican Republic has been the last search (at least for now) carried out within the framework of Operation Brody. The first were carried out between March 20 and 21 in the homes of all those investigated (seven including Rubiales) and two safes and 318,350 euros in cash were obtained in a shoe box, among other things. Mobile phones and tablets were also seized.

The Civil Guard operation for possible corruption in the RFEF investigates alleged irregularities in the contracts to play the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia. Rubiales, who was in the Dominican Republic on business, brought forward his return to Spain and was detained by order of the judge, who released him hours later. He did not declare before His Honor but he did do so days before with Ana Pastor in an interview from his Dominican villa: “I have not taken any bite from Piqué, he has never offered me anything. I really want to talk to the judge, I have no nothing to hide,” he said then. “I’m here to say that it is a lie that I have made a killing with the construction of apartments, that I have a baseball team, that I have land in Saudi Arabia… I had some savings and all the money I have in my accounts was the product of my job. I currently have no income and my accounts have been blocked.
