Willy Hernangómez touches the ‘double-double’ and a discreet Ricky Rubio breaks the bad streak of the Cavaliers

MADRID, 28 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish base Ricky Rubio has contributed this morning to the victory of the Cleveland Cavaliers against Orlando Magic (105-92), in an NBA day in which the center Willy Hernangómez has remained two rebounds from the ‘double-double’ in the defeat New Orleans Pelicans at home to Utah Jazz (127-105).

The ‘Cavs’, eleventh in the East (10-10), ended a series of five consecutive defeats against the worst team in the conference and led by Darius Garland (26 points and 11 assists).

Coming off the bench, the El Masnou point guard had a discreet performance and scored 5 points, captured 4 rebounds, offered 8 assists – being the second best passer on his team – and recovered a ball in almost 27 minutes played.

For his part, Willy Hernangómez continues to gain space in the New Orleans Pelicans – still without Zion Williamson – who succumbed this time to the Utah Jazz after two wins in their last games. The Madrilenian, who spent 18 minutes on the court, touched the ‘double-double’ by contributing 10 points and 8 rebounds, to which he added 3 assists.

Finally, Usman Garuba continues to thrive in the G League and did not participate this morning in the duel that the Houston Rockets won in overtime against Charlotte Hornets (146-143).
