The Peñas criticize Barça’s management with the tickets for the ‘Champions’ final

BARCELONA, 2 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The World Confederation of FC Barcelona Supporters’ Clubs showed this Thursday its “discomfort and indignation” at the “unfortunate management” by the Board of Directors of the Blaugrana club in the distribution of tickets for the final of the Women’s Champions League, which ‘culers’ will play against Olympique de Lyon in San Mamés (Bilbao) on May 25.

“In the distribution of tickets, the members of FC Barcelona and also its supporters clubs were left aside, thus failing to comply with the preference criteria that the club itself had previously communicated,” they said in a statement.

The Confederation is “outraged” by this fact and recalls that it has already been receiving complaints from some territorial federations of supporters clubs about the lack of transparency in the distribution of tickets in matches that the first team has played in different territories.

“Now, that this is a European final, we consider that the management should have been exemplary for the good of the thousands of members and supporters who have always shown loyalty and support to the club of which we are a part,” they argue.

For this reason, the Confederation demands from the Board of Directors of FC Barcelona a “convincing explanation for this absurdity” of the distribution of tickets. “We demand that the members of FC Barcelona not be fooled with contradictory explanations, and that we are truly valued as the true owners of the club,” they add.

They also ask that a constructive dialogue be opened between the club and the organization so that the distribution of club tickets is “managed again according to the criteria” that, in their opinion, were approved at the assemblies of the 30 club federations of the FC Barcelona.

Finally, they ask that corrective measures be taken in the social area to “avoid this type of situations” already experienced during Joan Laporta’s mandate, and that “harm the interests of the members and supporters” of FC Barcelona. .

“The 18,000 members who are currently part of the clubs, as well as the total of 165,000 supporters clubs, are also Barça. Therefore, any action that we can undertake together with the Board of Directors will always benefit our club,” the statement concludes. of the World Confederation of FC Barcelona Supporters Clubs.
