When Derek Carr is picked off, Kyren Williams scores a touchdown, giving the Rams a 27–7 lead over the Saints.

As the third quarter began on Thursday night, the Rams began to pull away from the Saints. A touchdown by Kyren Williams gave Los Angeles a 27–7 lead.

After a 13-yard pass from Derek Carr to Foster Moreau on third-and-6, the Saints looked as if they could have gotten something going on offense.

The Rams scored again on their first play of the second half. Lucas Havrisik made a field goal from 22 yards out to make the final score 20–7.

On the next third-and-6 play, though, Carr threw over the middle for Juwan Johnson, but safety Jordan Fuller picked it off and ran it back 21 yards to the New Orleans 41-yard line.

Puka Nacua’s jet sweep got seven points, and Kupp’s pass added seven more. Williams then took in for the remaining portion of the drive. To score, he ran for 10 yards, 7 yards, and 10 yards again.

Williams has now rushed for over 1,000 yards for the season, even though he missed a few games because of an ankle issue. He has 90 yards so far tonight. He scored nine times on the ground this year.

In their match on Thursday against the Saints, the Rams had most of the first half. But even though New Orleans made a run late in the second quarter, Los Angeles still leads 17–7 at halftime.

Los Angeles scored on the initial two plays. Lucas Havrisik kicked a 20-yard field goal and Puka Nacua caught a 2-yard touchdown.

On third down and two from the city’s 28 yard line, Havrisik missed a 47-yard field goal to the left. This season, Havrisik has only made two of six field goals from 40 to 49 yards.

After one play, Carr threw a long pass down the right side to an open Rashid Shaheed, who scored from 45 yards out to make the score 10–7 for Los Angeles.

The next time the Rams had the ball, they had a rare three-and-out. Matthew Stafford was sacked on third down, ending the drive.

After three plays, Stafford found Robinson in the rear of the defensive zone for a 4-yard score. This gave L.A. a 10-point lead at the break.

On the next play for New Orleans, Olave missed a pass throughout the center on third-and-5. To avoid being sacked on fourth-and-5, Carr threw a pass that was unsuccessful to Johnson in the left side.

They got back on track once the turnover on downs when Stafford threw off-target to he Robinson down the left corner, where he gained 32 yards and got the ball to New Orleans’ 26.

Robinson has taken six passes for 82 yards, which is the most on the team. He has also scored touchdowns in four straight games. This is Nacua’s fifth catch, and he has gained 63 yards.

Stafford completed 16 out of 22 passes in the first half, gaining 199 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Stafford almost scored a third reaching rest, but Kupp just missed the end zone with his pass.
