Villarreal approves a budget of 117 million

Villarreal held its general shareholders' meeting this Monday, in which in addition to approving the accounts for last season, a budget of 117 million euros has been presented for the 2020-2021 campaign.

With the presence of 98.78% of its share capital, all the points provided for in the minutes have been approved at a meeting in which the club has announced losses of close to one million euros, yielding a record of 144 million in income and 145 million in expenses in the past year.

For the current season, the Castellón club has a budget of just over 117 million, with income of 117,272,000 euros and 117,207,000 euros of expenditure, with a estimated profit of about 65,000 euros.

With all this, the club has lowered its budget by about 27 million compared to the previous season, a decrease motivated by the loss of income that has been generated by the covid-19 pandemic.
