un lateral del Bayern, al Nottingham Forest

The historic Nottingham Forest, back in the Premier, in which it will play for the first time since 1999, has announced this Sunday a new reinforcement: the English left-back Omar Richards, from Bayern. He signs until 2026.

Omar Richards has played a single season at Bayern, where he came from Reading (in the Championship, the English Second Division). Richards played just 12 Bundesliga games for the Bavarian team, completing only one of them.

The English player is Forest’s third signing this season on his return to the Premier, after Mainz defender Moussa Niakhaté and Union Berlin striker Taiwo Awoniyi.

“I am delighted to return to England and to sign for Nottingham Forest at such an exciting time when the team has so many ambitions on its return to the Premier League,” said Omar Richards.

Nottingham Forest have paid 8.5 million euros for the left back, 24 years old. He took his first steps in the youth categories of Fulham to move to those of Reading, in whose first team he made his debut in 2017 and in which he remained until he left for Bayern in 2021. He was once under-21 international for England .
