UEFA requests the postponement of the European Women’s Under-17 Championship so that Ukraine can play

MADRID, 4 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

UEFA has requested this Friday the postponement of the European Women’s Championship in the Under-17 category so that the Ukrainian team, which is Spain’s rival in the group stage, can play the competition.

“Round 2, which was held in Hungary from March 8 to 17, will be rescheduled by the participating teams so that Ukraine can play it,” said the Spanish Football Federation when confirming the postponement.

In addition to Ukraine, the Spanish team was drawn in group 2 along with Hungary, host of the tournament, and the Czech Republic. The national debut was scheduled for March 10, precisely against the Ukrainians.
