The support of the administrations to the club has increased notably this course with the signing of several sponsorship agreements. The Provincial Council contributes half a million and the City Council 350,000 euros. Both commitments include a clause by which the amount to be received by Málaga will be doubled in the event of promotion to the First Division.

Litigation for the use of the Ciudad de Málaga stadium

In addition to the sponsorship contract signed this summer with the Malaga City Council, the La Rosaleda entity maintains a litigation with the City Council for alleged non-payments derived from the use of the Ciudad de Málaga stadium, Malaga’s headquarters for almost a decade. As reported by TO BE, Malaga must pay the City Council about 440 thousand euros (385,000 plus interest for the delay in payment) for this concept and currently both parties are negotiating an agreement so that the club, which has also denounced the City Council for this matter, can face this amount in several installments.
