Espérance de Tunis and Al Ahly will play the final of the African Champions League

Espérance Sportive de Tunis and Al Ahly will play in the final of the African Champions League, after this Friday the Tunisians eliminated Mamelodi Sundowns and the Egyptians left Tout Puissant Mazembe in the gutter in their respective semifinals.

In the second leg of their ‘semi’, a goal from Raed Bouchniba gave Espérance de Tunis a 0-1 victory in their visit to Mamelodi, making good the 1-0 in the first leg. For its part, Al Ahly beat Mazembe 3-0 in the second leg of the other semi-final.

Goals in the second half from Mohamed Abdelmonem (min.68), Wessam Abou Ali (min.83) and Akram Tawfik (min.90+12) certified that victory for the Cairo team, which had tied in the first leg to zero during his visit to Mazembe.
