Cándido Conde-Pumpido, arrested again for allegedly trying to drown one of his exes with a charger cable

Candido Conde-Pumpido Varela (43) is once again in the eye of the media hurricane. The son of the president of the Constitutional Court has been arrested again, at noon this Friday, April 26, for allegedly threatening and attacking one of his ex-partners.

The aggression, according to The world, It would have occurred when both were in a car on the outskirts of Madrid. According to her wife, Lara Dibildos’ ex has stopped her vehicle and threatened to kill her, to the point that he tried to drown her with a charger cable.

The woman has escaped and the lawyer has left. Later, the complainant – with whom Cándido dated several years ago – called 112 and then reported the events to the Civil Guard. In the last few days they were living together.

According to the same newspaper, agents of the Civil Guard have transferred Conde-Pumpido Varela to the offices of the Armed Institute in Madrid, where he has been arrested for an alleged crime of sexist violence and attempted homicide.

It must be remembered that Conde-Pumpido Varela was also arrested on November 3 of last year for an alleged sexual assault on a 37-year-old Brazilian woman at his home in Madrid. After being released without precautionary measures two days later, it was also known during those days that he was admitted to a psychiatric hospital in Madrid on two occasions. Finally, the woman, who also denounced two other men, withdrew the complaint.

At that time, his arrest drew special attention, not only because he was the son of who he is (of the president of the Constitutional Court) but also in the tabloid press because of the five-month relationship he had with Lara Dibildos last year. Just a few days before what happened, Laura Valenzuela’s daughter said on television that she was no longer with him.
