After meeting this Wednesday in Madrid with a good part of the Bourbons to celebrate the birthday of the Infanta Elena (“I wish we could celebrate more,” he said at the doors of the restaurant), the emeritus will meet his loved ones again in just a couple of days. And it is that Don Juan Carlos (85) has a Christmas agenda full of plans with family and friends.
On December 24, Christmas Eve, the house of Mrs. CristinGeneva will become the meeting point. Infanta Elena, her children, will travel there (Froilán and Victoria Federica), the Urdangarin brothers (Juan, Pablo, Miguel and Irene) and Don Juan Carlos for dinner and lunch on Christmas Day, according to YAS. It is unknown if Queen Sofía and her sister, Infanta Irene, will join the party or if, on the contrary, they will prefer to spend the most family-friendly night of the year in Zarzuela with Felipe, Letizia and the Rocasolanos.
Afterwards, everything indicates that the emeritus will return to Abu Dhabi to finish the last details of his big birthday party, which will take place on January 5, as we already published. Don Juan Carlos wants to go all out for this celebration, to which he has invited dozens of friends and family. At the moment, the presence of his daughters and some of his grandchildren is confirmed, as well as that of several former presidents of the government and of Mario Vargas Llosa. The Nobel Prize winner has a very good relationship with the emeritus, as we saw last February, when Don Juan Carlos went to Paris to attend the Peruvian's entry ceremony into the French Academy of Letters.
