The American point guard Markus Howard, new Cazoo Baskonia player

MADRID, 17 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The American base Markus Howard has signed this Sunday for the Cazoo Baskonia, taking the baton of the Barça team for the next two seasons, as announced by the Basque team in a statement.

“Markus Howard (New Jersey, 1999) becomes Cazoo Baskonia’s new Game Director for the next two seasons,” Baskonia confirmed.

The Barça club has acquired the services of the 23-year-old, 1.79-meter-tall North American point guard who will arrive in Vitoria-Gasteiz from the NBA’s Denver Nuggets, where he has played for the last two seasons.

Educated at Marquette University, where he averaged 21.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists in his four seasons, Howard will experience his first campaign in Europe this season. Joan Peñarroya already has a new game director, also notable for his high scoring ability. In the Denver Nuggets he has played a total of 68 games, averaging 40% shooting from three in the last year.

With the arrival of Markus Howard, Cazoo Baskonia adds a first-rate game director and great potential to its outside line for the 2022-23 season.
