The Aless Lequio Foundation stands up for Ana Obregón but does not show accounts or deny what was published

The actress published a statement on social media this Thursday from the Aless Lequio Foundation in which they echo the information published by this medium. The Board of Trustees clarifies that Ana Obregon has made several donations but, as we already mentioned, much lower than those that the artist herself assured that she would make through her exclusives and her posts. Furthermore, the management reserves “the right to preserve its accounting movements”, that is, they refuse to show their accounts and only mention that they have allocated 200,000 euros of the 4 million that Aurelio Palomo, a friend of Alessandro Lequio Sr.

“This Board of Trustees reserves the right to preserve its accounting movements but declares that its president has complied with the commitments that she has voluntarily acquired regarding financial contributions to the Aless Lequio Foundation. Making several important donations as a result of fundraising initiatives coming from her personal environment and private”. They refer to charity concert in honor of his father, Don Antonio García (which, as they themselves indicate, was organized by the College of Quantity Surveyors of Madrid and not Ana), and the auction of a bag belonging to her mother, Doña Ana (as we already mentioned) and the amount of which amounted to 6,000 euros.

However, in these lines there is no trace of the rest of the money that Ana Obregón has pocketed in the last two years thanks to the exclusives in her leading magazine talking about the death of her son and the arrival of her granddaughter, Anita. Let us remember that there were about ten interviews with her corresponding interviewees and that, according to the media consulted, they could have meant a total of 500,000 euros for the actress's accounts. She herself indicated, not only in these interviews but also on her social networks, that this money would be allocated to the foundation, something that this Thursday (and after the publication of our information) she clarified: “I have donated some exclusives. Not all Because now I have a mouth to feed.”

The rights to 'The Shrew Boy'

The statement from the Aless Lequio Foundation also refers to the information about the copyright of The Shrew Boy, the book that the already sick young man began to write and that his mother decided to finish. Also then he stated that all proceeds would be for cancer research: “Our president has donated all the copyrights of the book to finance research against Sarcoma. This donation of copyrights is contractually subject to the completion of the fiscal year that has not yet been closed to be effective. That said donation, at the request of Doña Ana Obregón, once settled will be deposited directly from the publisher to the Foundation.”

The issue of copyright is thus clarified, a clarification that we have also included in this digital this Thursday. But what about the advances that Ana Obregón has already received and that the publisher itself, Harper Collins, has confirmed? There were three: the first he received when signing the contract, the second when he delivered the original; and the third as an advance when the book went on sale. According to Laura Fa, a range of between 100,000 and 200,000 euros.

The work of the Aless Lequio Foundation

Finally, the statement explains that thanks to the donations of both Ana Obregón (according to her own declaration, between 30,000 and 50,000 euros) and the testamentary contribution of Aurelio Palomo (a friend of Lequio Sr., who left them two million euros and two locals, each valued at one million more), the Aless Lequio Foundation “has been able to contribute around 200,000 euros for research into Edwing's Sarcoma at a national and European level.” In the two images provided of these donations, by the way, the checks delivered to the Inter-Ewing Clinical Trial and the Imperas Project add up to a total of 180,000 euros.
