Tenerife recovers the rhythm of direct promotion

MADRID, 17 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Tenerife beat Fuenlabrada (3-1) this Sunday to chain two wins in a row and recover a positive dynamic in search of direct promotion places, on matchday 36 of LaLiga SmartBank that also left Ponferradina triumph against Lugo ( 3-1) to think again about the ‘Top 6’.

The Canarian team was launched thanks to a connected Enric Gallego, author of a brace in the first half. Mario González scored the third at the start of the second half, condemning ‘Fuenla’ for his mistakes at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López.

The Madrid team reacted by means of Pedro León from a penalty, but Tenerife defended its lead and three points that make it add 62 points, five from second place for direct promotion to First Division. Meanwhile, for ‘Ponfe’ it was also a day to recover sensations, after three defeats and four draws.

Edu Espiau, Naranjo and Dani Ojeda gave victory to the locals in El Toralín, an outstanding performance with which Ponferradina, despite their losing streak in the previous seven games, is three points away from the ‘playoffs’ zone.

In addition, the day left the victory (2-1) of Burgos over Ibiza, both calm in the middle of the table, and the tie in the Aragonese derby between Huesca and Real Zaragoza (1-1), both also without being able to ask much more to the season than finishing with good feelings and victories.
