Sporting go back to Ponferradina and fly high (1-2)

Sporting came back in the second half, with goals from Manu García and Álvaro Vázquez, a bad start to the game against Ponferradina and they found themselves with the victory after three games without winning (2-1).

The locals came out with force and it was barely a minute before Gragera fired from the edge of the area. Shortly after, Djurdjevic headed in and the ball skimmed off a post.

But those two actions were an offensive mirage on the part of Sporting and Ponferradina took a lot of revenue from their first arrival in the vicinity of the local area because Nacho Méndez committed an innocent penalty on Valcarce.

It was launched by Valcarce himself and Mariño intercepted the shot, but the rebound came to Kaxe, smarter than all the rojiblancos defenders, who made it 0-1.

The goal did not change in the way of playing of the two teams. The locals continued to come out well and quickly with the ball, but as soon as they reached the rival area they played backwards because Ponferradina was withdrawing well and accumulating men in defense covering all the gaps.

Before the break, almost on time, Pablo García hit a good cross that Aitor García did not reach, but Cumic did, although he did not manage to push the ball into the net when he was in an excellent position.

In the second half, Sporting came out again with more intensity, but the Leonese team did not take long to go from dominated to dominator.

Caro saved his team from the tie by putting a prodigious hand against Cumic, who stood alone before him and snatched the ball from him as he was about to dribble.

Sporting achieved the equalizer in a personal play by Manu García, who took the ball in the vicinity of the area, went into dodging rivals and, when he was centered, launched a powerful shot that surpassed the visiting goalkeeper.

Sporting went for the victory, the game began to unfold in the Ponferradina midfield and Caro had to work hard on more than one occasion.
