Spain, bronze in the Youth Water Polo World Cup

The Spanish youth team won bronze this Thursday at the Water Polo World Championship by beating the Netherlands (13-11), which makes them the third best team in the world event in Belgrade (Serbia).

Javier ‘Fiti’ Sánchez-Toril’s players held a remarkable championship and won the world podium as a prize against a powerful Netherlands, which defeated Montenegro in the quarterfinals and fell in the semifinals to the host Serbia.

In this way, the national team, which fell to Hungary (10-7) in the semifinals, beat the Dutch in the fight for third place. A medal that is added to the absolute world title obtained at the beginning of July in Budapest, for which the men’s water polo of ages reinforces the structure with a bronze medal.
