There is no quiet day at Can Barça. When it is not the economic situation, it is institutional or sports, or directly all at the same time. This Sunday, the station ‘Catalunya Ràdio’ revealed that the Cantabrian coach Quique Setién has sued the club for “breach of contract”. The former coach claims that the agreed amounts have not been paid and has decided, through his lawyer, to take Barcelona to court.

In a different situation are his assistants -Eder Sarabia, Fran Soto and Jon Pascua- who managed to fix their contractual situation a few days ago. In fact, the three belonged to the club's discipline until November 6, to the point that a day before, the club sent a burofax to the three to inform them that they had to return to work on November 9, citing them to a meeting with each of those responsible for their areas, to find a role for them within the grassroots football structure. But nevertheless, On November 6, they received a call from a Barcelona lawyer to inform them that their reinstatement was being suspended and that their contract was being terminated.

In fact, Setién's three assistants could not sign for another club as they were still registered as FC Barcelona workers.

The case is very different for Setién because The technician did terminate his contract after sending a burofax at the end of August demanding his settlement, which was answered by the club on September 16 in the affirmative. But nevertheless, the Cantabrian coach is not satisfied with the amounts assigned by the Catalan entity in terms of compensation and he intends to go to the last consequences so that he is paid up to the last euro agreed at the time with President Josep Maria Bartomeu.
