The calls of the Selection usually create a great debate in Spain. On this occasion, it has been given for two reasons: the lack of a pure striker and the presence of players who are not assured of ownership in their teams and they will be in the final four of the League of Nations.
Luis Enrique maintains his bet on several of the regulars in La Roja who are fully complying with their teams. It is the example of Oyarzabal, who leads Real Sociedad with goals and who maintains his position on the coach's list, or Unai Simón and Iñigo Martínez, in Athletic. But there is other footballers who are in the crosshairs of their teams or who are not enjoying the trust of their coaches and therefore they are playing a secondary role. Still, Luis Enrique maintains his trust in them.

Up to six footballers have played less than 60% of their club's total minutes this season. The one who has been on the pitch the least has been Sarabia (39.79% minutes), but because he has had a turbulent summer. Substitute at PSG and not even summoned in two days when it was closing his departure to Sporting de Portugal, a team in which he has landed and adds minutes little by little in what fits. Bryan gil, who has left Sevilla to join Tottenham, has only played 42% of the minutes. He has not started in any Spurs game in the Premier League and barely adds 51 minutes in seven days. In the Cup and Conference he has enjoyed more opportunities. Sergi Roberto, with 49.63%, is not counting much for Koeman either. In the games that he has started, he was one of the first substituted. Nor are they having the continuity that they are accustomed to in the City's eleven, Laporte (54.54%) and Ferran Torres (56.13%).
And, the last one below the 60% threshold is Gavi. The young 17-year-old Barcelona youth squad 44.81% of the total minutes have been on the pitch. Has been more times substitute (6), than holder (3). Koeman is pulling Barça promises in light of the injuries he has suffered in attack. His name in this call is one of the great surprises and one that has created the most debate in the fans. Almost without experience with his team and in professional football he has made the leap to La Roja.
But there are also other names that create misgivings. How is Eric Garcia's, who has had a difficult start to the season at Barcelona. He has been sent off twice and Koeman doubts whether to keep him as a starter. The center-back was a substitute against Atlético, the most important game of the season for Barça.
Luis Enrique, despite being secondary in his teams, shows his support with this call to the National Team having a game the crown of the League of Nations. On the other hand, other names such as Raúl de Tomás or Fabián Ruiz will not be there.
