Robertone enters the Argentine pre-list for the Olympic Games

This Friday the list of summoned of the Argentine selection for the preparation of the Olympic Games of Tokyo was known. It featured Lucas Robertone, UD Almería player. Fernando Batista, coach of the albiceleste, has summoned 26 footballers for the four training sessions that will take place from June 23 to 26 at the AFA complex in Ezeiza. The rojiblanco player will be one of the three over 23, along with Lucas Alario and Jeremías Ledesma.

Two more La Liga players appear on the list, such as Jeremías Ledesma (Cádiz) and Nehuén Pérez (Granada). Among the most prominent, stand out names such as Adolfo Gaich (Benevento), Nicolás Capaldo (Boca Juniors) Alexis Mac Allister (Brighton), Thiago Almada (Vélez), Ezequiel Ponce (Spartak of Moscow) and Lucas Alario (Bayer Leverkusen), who he lost the Copa América through injury and is called to be the great star of the Argentines.

The South American team has been framed in group C along with Spain, Egypt and Australia. He will debut against the latter on Thursday, July 22, while on July 25 he faces the Egyptians and on the 27th to the Spanish to close this group stage. The Argentine team has played seven Olympic Games (from Rome 1960 to Rio de Janeiro 2016), in which they have played three finals and he has won two Olympic golds (Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008).

In the case of finally going to the Olympics, Robertone would miss another preseason with the Indálico team, just as it happened last year. If Argentina reach the semifinals, it would end its participation in Tokyo a weekend before the start of the league competition. Batista will have the last word, as he will choose 18 players, with eight remaining out of this last list before traveling to Japan to fight for a medal. However, this circumstance could be another setback for Rubi and her preparation for the 21/22.
