Neymar joins the criticism for the poor state of the grass in the Copa América

The Brazilian coach, Adenor Leonardo Bacchi 'Tite', also showed his displeasure with the pitch of Nilton Santos, popularly known as 'Engenhao', in the previous match against the Incas.

Last Monday, his Argentine counterpart, Lionel Scaloni, described the state of the Rio de Janeiro playing field as “regrettable”, after drawing with the Chilean team 1-1.

In the previous edition, held in 2019 also in Brazil, there were also complaints from various teams about the poor condition of the chosen courts.

For this Copa América in 2021, organized at the last minute after Colombia and Argentina gave up for various reasons, including the coronavirus pandemic, five stadiums were chosen: the Mané Garrincha in Brasilia, the Pantanal Arena in Cuiabá, the Olympic Stadium in Goiania and two more in Rio de Janeiro, the Engenhao and the Maracana.

Engenhao will be the scene on the 23rd of the next match of the hosts against Colombia.

Three days before the Venezuela-Ecuador will be held and five after the Uruguay-Paraguay. It will also host one of the quarter-finals and one of the two semi-finals.
