The Spanish tennis player Rebeka Masarova qualified this Monday for the second round of the Guangzhou (China) tournament, scoring for the WTA and which is played on hard courts, after beating the Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl in two sets 7-5, 6 -2.

Masarova, who starts as fifth seed in this event, started the match with a break that she was unable to capitalize on, as well as two set points to the rest with 5-4 in her favor. However, when her rival served to force ‘sudden death’, she did not forgive her opportunity and closed the set.

This victory established Masarova on the court that she dominated the second set much more comfortably and although she wasted her first break, she broke again in a row and certified her pass to the round of 16 with another new break.
