Moscow ATP and WTA tournaments canceled by COVID-19

The ATP 250 (October 19 to 25) and Premier WTA (October 26 to November 1) tournaments will not be held finally due to the worsening caused by the COVID-19 infection in the area occupied by the capital of Russia, according to the mandate of administration of the city itself.

It is not a postponement, but a cancellation for the remainder of 2020. Both the ATP and the WTA continue to monitor the situation in all the locations that plan to host tournaments for the remainder of the season.

Both institutions hope that the VTB Kremlin Cup can be held in 2021. Conchita Martínez, in 1996, and Pablo Carreño, in 2016, have been the Spanish champions of the tournament, and Roberto Bautista lost two consecutive finals against Marin Cilic (2014 and 2015).
