Mollejo takes center stage from the leadership of his Zaragoza and Carlos Martín delights Anduva

MADRID, 11 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Zaragoza beat FC Cartagena 1-3 this Sunday and retained the lead in LaLiga Hypermotion, but their striker Víctor Mollejo overshadowed him with an obscene celebration in the third goal, while Carlos Martín delighted the Anduva Stadium with a great goal that gave CD Mirandés the victory ‘in extremis’ over FC Andorra (4-3), in a crazy outcome of matchday 5.

On the pitch of the Cartagonova Stadium, Manu Vallejo put the visiting team ahead in the 16th minute and Arnau Sola equalized for Cartagena halfway through the match. However, an own goal by Pedro Alcalá made it 1-2 shortly before half-time. Already in the second half, Víctor Mollejo scored 1-3 and in celebration he grabbed his testicles.

That gesture was reminiscent of another recent one by Luis Rubiales, former president of the RFEF, and which was highly criticized. For this reason, LaLiga announced after the match that he will denounce the player, considering his celebration inappropriate. To mitigate a possible disciplinary sanction, Mollejo himself apologized through a video on his club’s social networks.

Apart from Mollejo, another former Atlético de Madrid youth player took center stage this day. It was Carlos Martín in Anduva, scoring with a heel and at the very last moment the winning goal against an Andorra that sold its skin very dearly. From 2-0 it went to 2-1 and then came the beautiful 3-1, scored in the 87th minute by Alan Godoy with a shot from his own half.

The Andorrans tied in injury time with two goals in a row, but at 90+8 the miracle of the former colchonero occurred. After dribbling past an opponent while controlling the ball, Carlos Martín executed his back heel and beat the visiting goalkeeper. Near the promotion playoff was Mirandés (7 pts.), precisely surpassing Andorra (6 pts.).

In the same battle are Racing de Ferrol (9 pts.), which tied with Villarreal B (2-2), and Racing de Santander (8 pts.), which beat SD Amorebieta by the minimum. On the other hand, Real Valladolid and Elche CF tied (1-1) in Pucelana, confirming the disappointment of the Blanquivioleta fans.
