Lunin turns for peace

These days are serving for Lunin to give a lesson in humanity. How to mobilize in the face of problems and from a situation -and even thousands of kilometers- try to contribute your grain of sand. Russian offensives in Ukraine, his country, have affected him both mentally and humanly. This was confirmed by Ancelotti himself at the last press conference: “He obviously doesn’t have the spirit he used to have. He is very worried, because he has people near Kiev, his mother seems to me, for example. War is horrible.”

The coach said that football, specifically the training sessions, they helped him not to dwell on the subject, to have the opportunity to think, for a few hours, about something else. But inevitably, although it helps, it does not help the mood to stop being green. Fruit of it, he fell out of the call for Vallecas the same day of the game and after being summoned by Ancelotti the afternoon before. One more example that the club is dedicated both to him and to everything he needs.

And the goalkeeper, with the cause of peace. In his social networks he has mobilized with great energy the solidarity collection that was organized in Méndez Álvaro. In it, any citizen could donate (non-perishable) food, clothing or any other item to be sent to Ukraine in support of the people. The goalkeeper himself shared said mobilization in his networks and, before the spectacular response of the citizens, he was excited. Throughout the day thousands of people were in the Ucramarket of the Madrid town helping as much as possible.

And hundreds of others, exceeding a thousand, were this Sunday at the massive demonstration which has been held in Madrid’s Plaza de Colón. “Thank you for your attitude. Everybody wants peace! Not war!” He wrote from the demonstration itself, where banners such as “Putin, stop”, “peace”, “Ukraine safe, Europe safe” or “get out of Ukraine”, among others, were read. The doorman, after that meeting, went to the Most Spainlocated in Fuenlabrada and where they have come today 35,000 peopleto donate even more supplies that will be sent to your country.

Real Madrid, overturned

Little by little there are more voices within the locker room that publicly ask for peace. The last has been Modricwhose childhood was very marked by the war in Croatia: “I grew up in a war and I don’t wish it on anyone. We have to stop this nonsense where innocent people die. We want to live in peace. #StopWar”. others like Kroos They have also wanted to show their rejection of the Russian offensive on Twitter: “I never would have believed that something like this could still happen today… My thoughts are with all the innocent victims of this war and those currently living in such fear.”.
