The date marked on Leonor’s calendar had been under debate for months. Even before the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, brought forward the elections to 23-J and also after the elections were held. The possibility that the Cortes would be dissolved by October 31 had led us to a sort of very complex crossword puzzle of dates. It was the Royal Family itself that confirmed, through a note sent this Friday afternoon, the 22nd, the Swearing ceremony.
The ceremony finds two settings: the headquarters of the Congress, in the Cortes, and the Royal Palace, where he will receive the Collar of the Order of Charles III. The highest powers of the State will attend both events. This will be the public format of the ceremony. The private format will take place at the Palacio del Pardo. The party will be attended by Felipe VI’s family and Letizia’s family. And this is where the focus is.
