Last goodbye to Mari Carmen and her dolls: wake in Madrid and burial in Cuenca

The beloved presenter and ventriloquist died this Thursday at the age of 80 at her home in Tenerife, where she had found a particular paradise to enjoy tranquility. Big Carmen suffered a sudden heart attack at the gates of her home, where she was found lifeless by some neighbors. Her son Miguel de ella, devastated, deals with the transfer of her mortal remains from the Canary Islands to the Peninsula to fulfill the last wish of her mother: to rest in the land where she was born.

Mari Carmen’s body will arrive in Madrid this Saturday, where it will be watched for 24 hours at the Majadahonda funeral home, as her son has revealed to La Razón. Friends and colleagues can travel there to say their last goodbye to the ‘mother’ of Doña Rogelia and Pato Nícol. Already on Sunday, her mortal remains will be transferred to Cuenca, where she will receive burial.

Miguel, the only son of Mari Carmen, has revealed this Friday that they are performing an autopsy on his mother to clarify the causes of death, although everything points to a heart attack: “She had the little things of her age, sugar, smoked… It seems that it was a heart attack and that that’s where the fall came from, but it wasn’t on the stairs, it was at the door of her house, on the sidewalk… And she fell and stayed there, alone,” she said in Public mirror. “It was a sweet death, better than dying in a hospital.”
