One of the 616 votes that gave yes at the end of the 2019-20 financial year was Joan Laporta, that he requested the approval of the rest of the delegates and that he admitted that, as of June 2020, no irregularity had been established at the club. “We do not like these accounts, they are not good results. And I do not like them like many of you. But it is reflecting the reality of the club as of June 2020. For this reason, and as I claimed at the beginning, you have to travel back in time. So far there is no expert document that proves any falsehood or irregularity and, as of June 30, 2020, that is the real photo. We are not certain that the accounts were made on a false basis; and they are audited. We understand that these accounts reflect, in this trip in time, the real situation of the club as of June 30, 2020. So, With the same firmness that I ask for the avorable vote, I let the partners know that if, later, we detect with expert reports that there are irregularities, we will clarify responsibilities in the fairest and most efficient way. Approving these accounts does not exonerate the previous Board of responsibilities. “

Laporta recalled why the approval of the accounts was essential:“If the accounts for the 2019-20 season are not approved, if we maintained that irregularity, no bank would refinance this debt for us.” Likewise, Laporta voted yes to the approval of the budget for the 2020-21 season, which includes 828 million euros of income, 796 of expenses and one million euros of benefit, with an EBIDTA of 231 million. 78% of delegates approved the budget.
