Koke relapses from his injury and Giménez suffers muscular edema

Atlético de Madrid has reported Tuesday that its soccer players Jorge Resurrección 'Koke' and José María Giménez suffer different injuries as a result of their participation in the recent Super Cup of Spain and both will remain “pending evolution” in the face of the next matches.

Koke, who arrived very just at the Super Cup of Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), had to retire at 27 minutes after replacing Herrera at the break in the second semifinal of the tournament. “Jorge Resurrección 'Koke' has undergone a complete study with resonance, ultrasound and elastography at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, which has determined that our captain suffers a myotendinous lesion in the right thigh”, specifies the club without offering time off .

For its part, “Giménez has undergone an ultrasound and an MRI that has ruled that the Uruguayan center suffers muscular edema in the left leg. Both players are pending evolution,” ends the communication of the medical services of the mattress club .

Atlético de Madrid visits Eibar this Saturday (9 pm) and will travel to León to measure for the Cultural next week in Copa del Rey. The next meeting will be at the Wanda Metropolitano, before Leganés, on Sunday, January 26 at 12 noon.
