Iago Aspas donates to Legends the boots with which he started Celta’s centenary

MADRID, 28 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish RC Celta player Iago Aspas donated this Tuesday to the ‘Legends: The Home of Football’ museum the boots he used in the first days of the Galician club’s centenary year, which will be exhibited in the area reserved for LaLiga derbies , according to a statement from the employer.

The Moaña striker handed over to space the boots he wore in the first games of this season, in which the light blue club celebrates 100 years of life. They will be displayed in the area that the Legends museum has reserved for LaLiga, specifically in the derby area, where an Aspas shirt is already on display.

“In the year in which Celta dresses up to celebrate its first hundred years of life, Legends has joined the club’s celebrations to immortalize, from the world home of football, the history, essence and identity of RC Celta , so that celestial fans can enjoy and feel represented through this relic,” LaLiga highlighted in a statement.

The delivery ceremony was attended by the president of Legends, Marcelo Ordás, who recognized the “importance” of having “such precious” objects that represent Spanish football. “From Legends we especially thank Celta for the affectionate reception. Historical pieces like that of Iago Aspas, enhance our collection and perpetuate our LaLiga legends forever,” he said.

For his part, Aspas highlighted that it is “a pride” for him to deliver to Legends the boots with which he began this “beautiful season” and that his name is “there.”

Furthermore, the deputy executive director and marketing director of LaLiga, Jorge de la Vega, defended that “the essence of LaLiga is in clubs like this and in players like Iago Aspas, who are the history of the competition and who help us to be stronger and have greater visibility.
