Green light for Umtiti: good feelings with the subsidiary

Samuel Umtiti took this Wednesday a step further towards his return to the pitch. The French central played a game of sixty minutes -divided into two parts of thirty minutes- with Barcelona B against Juvenil A. Umtiti played the entire game, first sharing a partner with Arnau Comas and later with Ramos Mingo.

In general terms, the Frenchman's feelings were positive. And it is that obviously the center-back accused the lack of competition rhythm – he has not played a football game for more than five months-, but he was able to overcome this circumstance thanks to his proven experience.

Those who were able to see the training live emphasize that the French were not required to do much, but that it was very expeditious in most of their actions, passing the first test before being discharged.

In any case, now it will be the club's medical services and Ronald Koeman who have to decide the moment in which open the gates for the player to return to a summons. The game against Cádiz next Saturday could be a good opportunity, especially considering the current deficit in the squad in terms of centrals, with Gerard Piqué, with a long-term injury, Ronald Araújo, still on leave due to a hamstring injury, and Clement Lenglet, practically convalescing from a slight sprain to his right ankle.

Remember that since June 30 that Umtiti does not enter a call, so his return to a list would be great news. To see him play a game you have to go back a few days, specifically on June 27 against Celta (2-2). More than five months later, the central is about to reappear.
