Granada defeats the leader Alavés

MADRID, 3 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Granada came back (3-1) this Friday against Alavés at Nuevo Los Cármenes on matchday 18 of LaLiga SmartBank thanks to Myrto Uzuni’s double, in a close match until the expulsion of Xeber Alkain by the visitors, who remain leaders despite signing his second loss of the season.

Although Luis García Plaza’s men went ahead on the scoreboard thanks to Alkain’s goal, the Nasrid team knew how to react through the top scorer of the category. The Albanian forward tied the game after picking up a ball into space that he defined against Sivera and signed the comeback after scoring the rejection of his own missed penalty.

The man from Granada, who already has 10 goals in eighteen league games, was key in the triumph of a Nasrid team that knew how to take advantage of the numerical superiority after the striker from Vitoria was sent off on minute 34′. Jorge Molina sealed the match at the beginning of the second half with a beautiful Vaseline, which allowed the locals to return to the ‘playoffs’ area.

For their part, Alavés will keep the lead for sure but may lose their cushion depending on what Las Palmas and Burgos do, provisionally four points behind the lead.
