Elena Tejedor receives the Gold Medal and Insignia for Sports Merit from the RFEBM

The body chaired by Paco Blázquez awarded it in June for his career as head of the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation

MADRID, 19 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The General Director of External Relations of Mercadona, Elena Tejedor, until April 2021 head of the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, received this Wednesday the Gold Medal and Insignia for Sports Merit of the Royal Spanish Handball Federation (RFEBM) from the president, Francisco V. Blázquez, accompanied by the president of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), Alejandro Blanco.

Elena Tejedor, who was unable to attend the National Handball Awards gala on June 10, received the award in the office of the president of the COE, a place closely linked to her career as head of the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation due to the collaboration between both entities for many years, promoting, among others, the PAC CV program of the Comunitat de l’Esport.

Under the premise of the PAC CV program of the Comunitat de l’Esport, the RFEBM has developed numerous sporting events in the Valencian Community, including the Women’s Handball World Championship in 2021 with venues in Torrevieja, Llíria and Castellón.

For this reason, and for the patronage work that the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation has led in favor of thousands of athletes from the Valencian Community with Elena Tejedor at the helm, the RFEBM decided to recognize her with the Gold Medal and Insignia for Sports Merit.
