“Don’t leave me alone”: the overwhelming message from Sergio Rico’s wife after the goalkeeper’s serious accident

This Sunday, May 28, the sad accident of the Sevillian PSG goalkeeper occurred Sergio Rico (29), who was admitted to the Virgen del Rocío Hospital (Seville), in serious condition, after being hit by a runaway horse in El Rocío (Huelva). Two days later, his wife, the Sevillian journalist Alba Silva (30), has reappeared on social networks with a moving message.

“Do not leave me alone, my love, because I swear that I cannot, nor do I know how to live without you. We are waiting for you my life, we love you so much,” he wrote, along with a photograph of when they said “yes, I want” in June 2022.

In stories, Silva also vented this Monday night: “Thank you for all your love for us. Sergio has many people praying for him and he is very strong. I have no words to describe how I feel.” In another post, he left an overwhelming “I love you.”

After the accident, the footballer’s representation agency clarified what had happened: “Sergio Rico traveled to El Rocío, with permission from the club. After just over an hour and a half with his family and friends, he was heading to the Pontifical mass next to the hermitage when he suffered misfortune because of a cart with mules and a runaway horse that hit him”.

His family also spoke out, asking for prudence regarding the medical results: “Sergio is in good hands, fighting to recover while receiving the best care. We must act prudently, especially in the next 48 hours. We are awaiting results on his evolution medical”.

Rico also went through the Sevilla squad, where he won two Euroleagues (2015 and 2016), and Mallorca. He found love thanks to Alba Silva (30). As we said, they were married in June 2022, in the Seville capital, after six years of dating.
